PRESCHOOL ACADEMY
AT HARVEST CITY

A safe, joyful place where little hearts grow in faith, friendship, and foundational learning.

ROOTED IN FAITH
GROWING IN LOVE

Harvest City Preschool Academy partners with families to provide a safe, loving, and Christ-centered environment where preschoolers feel valued and empowered to become enthusiastic learners who carry their love for God and discovery throughout their lives. Inspired by Luke 2:52, we focus on nurturing the whole child, spiritually, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

OUR
CURRICULUM

We blend early childhood best practices with Christian values to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. Our curriculum includes:

A young girl in a blue and white dress sits at a table with her hands clasped, praying alongside a teacher in a brightly colored classroom.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

A group of diverse young children sit on the floor against a wall. One blond boy in a blue shirt smiles brightly at the camera, flanked by his friends.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

A smiling woman with long hair helps a young boy in a striped shirt color on a piece of paper at a round table, with another child in the foreground.

EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

A young blonde girl in a pink floral dress sits at a small table in a playroom and turns to smile at the camera, showing a gap where a tooth is missing.

COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT

A young boy and girl hold hands and smile at each other while dancing. The girl's Thanksgiving-themed dress twirls as other children watch them.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

Your child’s safety is our priority. Harvest City Preschool Academy maintains supervised classrooms, secure check-in procedures, and clear safety protocols.

Children must be signed in and out each day by a parent or authorized adult. Only individuals listed on your enrollment forms may pick up your child. Photo ID or Pick Up Tag will be required to ensure the safety of every student.

All children will bring their own lunches for the school day. Please refrain from packing lunch items that require heating, as we do not have access to a microwave in the classrooms.

Children enjoy scheduled snack times during the school day. Families will be assigned a rotation to provide snacks for the class throughout the semester. Families will be notified of food guidelines and allergy considerations. Please communicate any dietary restrictions or allergies with HCPA staff.

Harvest City Preschool Academy does not hold nap times during the school day. Children participate in developmentally appropriate rest and transition activities as part of their daily schedule.

Each school day includes a balance of learning, play, and exploration designed to support the whole child. All activities are age-appropriate and intentionally designed to nurture growth academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually

Children participate in:
  • Classroom learning centers
  • Hands-on activities
  • Music and movement
  • Social and emotional development experiences
Our outdoor classroom is a space for exploration and discovery. Learning in nature supports creativity, imagination, teamwork, and focus.

This is a YES space for children, guided by three simple questions:
  • Am I safe?
  • Are my friends safe?
  • Is my environment or play space safe?

The outdoor classroom is primarily student-led and encourages learning through play, strengthening gross and fine motor skills, testing physical limits, and getting messy.

At Harvest City Preschool Academy, our goal is to develop the whole child according to Luke 2:52:
“And Jesus grew in wisdom (mental), and in stature (physical), and in favor with God (spiritual) and man (social & emotional).”

HCPA uses an academically appropriate scope and sequence, enhanced with Kinder-ready curriculum within a Christian framework. Teachers design lesson plans that support academic growth while honoring each child’s developmental stage.

Chapel time is held every Tuesday and Thursday for all students. Children hear age-appropriate Bible stories that are reinforced in the classroom throughout the week.

All classes enjoy music and movement, helping children learn transitions and adapt to new environments.

We value strong partnerships with families. Parents receive regular updates regarding schedules, classroom activities, and important announcements throughout the school year by email from our Director, Lisann Rawley. Each class also has a private Facebook page operated by classroom teachers where pictures and reminders will be shared by teachers and room parents.

Families receive a supply list prior to the start of school, including:
  • Labeled backpack, large enough for a full-sized folder
  • Change of clothes
  • Lunch box
  • Spill-proof water bottle
  • Diapers and wipes if child is enrolled in a 2s class and is not potty trained.

State-required immunization records or approved exemption documentation must be submitted prior to attendance. All health records are kept confidential.
